Courses and Conferences at MREH

Details of all upcoming courses are displayed below. If you are considering applying for a course close to the start date, it is worth checking to see if there are still places available.

This year we intend to explore transformational nursing in the context of eye-care. Again we are pleased to confirm that the day will be at the Manchester Conference Centre (Sackville St, Manchester).

FRCOphth part 2 mock OSCE and Viva course: Saturday 24th September 2016

We have been organising FRCOphth part 2 mock OSCE and Viva course for last two and half years for North West and Mersey deanery with exemplary pass results.

The overall aim of this whole day course is to provide understanding and practice for FRCOphth part 2 exams, and to equip the candidates with skills and attributes to increase their chance of passing FRCOphth part 2 exams.

The course is designed as per the FRCOphth part 2 examination pattern. The course design includes mock OSCE with real patients, Viva, communication skills and half hour presentation. There will be five minute feedback after each station.

Though the course can be attended by anyone who is planning for it, the course is specifically designed for those who have already passed the written part of FRCOphth part 2 courses and preparing for the OSCE and the Viva section.

The examiners will be the consultants, fellows and the senior trainees. There will be one to one interaction and feedback will be given to each candidate on customised forms from each station as per the RCOphth exams feedback.

There are only limited numbers of seats. The seats will be given to those who book first.

For further information and to book your place please contact Adam Mortimer (Educational admin officer at MREH) on adam.mortimer@cmft.nhs.uk or phone: 0161276 5630.
