Steve qualified from the University of Manchester in 1994 working subsequently in Liverpool, Manchester, Oxford and London. The University of Manchester awarded his MD after research between 1999 and 2002 into the diagnostic testing and management of venous thrombosis in the Emergency Department (as part of the early development of “daycase emergency care” now titled ambulatory care). He is a registered specialist in both Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine and has worked at the MRI since 2006. In addition to his clinical work he has a research interest in the evaluation and implementation of technology in healthcare a training role as ICM Faculty Tutor and sits on Deanery ACCS and ICM training committees.
