Research fellowship in head and neck cancer, and gained a Doctorate (MD) in 2001. Fellowship in advanced head and neck surgery at the prestigious Head and Neck Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. Appointed Consultant Surgeon at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and Christie Hospital in 2002. Hon Senior Lecturer, University of Manchester. Established and run weekly neck/thyroid lump clinic. Lead clinician for Head and Neck Cancer Regional service for laryngeal dystonia Active research program in head and neck cancer and swallowing
