The Menopause Service at Saint Mary's Hospital provides advice, investigations and management of menopausal health in a multi-disciplinary approach.

The service is available to all women, particularly those at high risk, such as those with breast and gynaecological cancer.  The service has a specialist interest in premature ovarian failure.

The service is consultant based with a specialist nurse who provides individual support to in patients and holds an out-patient clinic

  • Dr Charlie Hay, Consultant Haematologist (as needed)
  • Dr Alistair Hutchison, Consultant Nephrologist (as needed)

  • Caroline Jagger - Nurse specialist osteoporosis

How can I access this service?

This service is accessed by GP or consultant referral or by nurse referral for in-patients on Ward 62.



Gynaecology Out-patient Department, ground floor, Saint Mary's Hospital.


Clinic times:

Wednesday afternoons with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
