Obstetric Epilepsy Clinic (for Salford patients)

This clinic is to help women with the management of epilepsy in pregnancy. It is run by a Consultant Obstetrician and a Specialist Epilepsy Nurse with review by a Consultant Neurologist as required.

Women who have epilepsy are at higher risk of complications of epilepsy when they are pregnant. In the clinic, we try to optimise medication and stress the importance to women of taking their medication.  The medication and seizure frequency is reviewed at each visit. Advice is given to the pregnant women on how to keep herself and her baby safe.

Our staff include:

Dr Kelly, Consultant Obstetrician.

Yvonne Russell, Specialist Epilepsy Nurse.

Dr Mohanraj, Consultant Neurologist.

Clinic is held the first Tuesday of every month.
