Obstetric Ultrasound Service

During your pregnancy you will need to have an ultrasound scan.  If you reside in the Trafford area this may be carried out at Trafford General Hospital.

Please remember that ultrasound scans are medical examinations to ensure the well-being of mother and baby.

With regards to fetal gender, we will only look and try to see the gender of the baby if asked to, but never state 100% certainty; this is never the priority of the scan and will only be assessed on certain scans. Scan photos are sold at £3 each or £5 for two. Only one adult is allowed to accompany a woman in the scan room.
