Security and Valuables

All Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust staff should be wearing a security badge showing their photograph and job title. Please challenge anyone who is not wearing a security badge or who does not introduce themselves to your satisfaction.

We encourage you to keep your baby by your bedside at all times. Please let a member of staff know if you are leaving your baby for any reason.

The Trust security service operates 24 hours a day. They are available for security incidents or for any losses. If you suffer theft or loss of property, please contact a midwife who will inform security or the police.

The security staff also survey the hospital and car parking areas with closed circuit television and by patrol. Unfortunately, because of the Trust's large extensive grounds, we cannot guarantee the safety of your car in the parking areas.

Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust cannot be held responsible for loss of valuables from its premises. However, we are continually improving security measures to reduce risks. We therefore advise you to bring only what you need during your hospital stay, and keep personal belongings with you at all times.
