Biography

Dr Jennifer Yell gained her MB ChB in 1985 at the University of Cape Town, with distinctions in the final professional examinations and degree awarded with honours. She spent six years in dermatology training as registrar and senior registrar at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals in Oxford. Dr Yell also enjoyed a one-year fellowship in the United States. Dr Yell was appointed Consultant Dermatologist in 1995 and took up her consultant role at Trafford in 2003. She has been involved in the provision of optimal patient care and clinical networks, including: 1995: Only Bleomycin service in Greater Manchester set up 2003-2010: Lead for skin cancer services, Trafford 2008-present: Skin cancer MDT national peer reviewer 1995: Developed a pioneering UK vulval clinical service 1998-2005: Committee member of the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease (BSSVD) 2005-2009: Chair BSSVD 2007-present: Chair of the membership committee of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) 2009-present: Executive committee of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) 2010-present: Clinical Services committee member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD)
