All four of our new hospitals are up and running now, which marks the last major phase of the four year, £500 million new hospitals development.
The new Royal Manchester Children's Hospital opened on 11th June 2009. It is the largest children's hospital in the UK with 371 beds. It replaces Booth Hall and Pendlebury Children's Hospitals which are now closed. There are new Children's Accident & Emergency Departments at the new Children's Hospital and at North Manchester General Hospital.
The new wing of the Manchester Royal Infirmary opened on 11th July 2009.
The new Saint Mary's Hospital opened on 13th July 2009. Demolition of the existing Saint Mary's tower block on Hathersage Road was completed in March 2010. Work continues to transform the area in front of all the hospitals into an impressive boulevard area. For more details go to: www.borninmanchester.co.uk

The new integrated complex brings together services from five of our hospitals, Booth Hall Children's Hospital, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Saint Mary's Hospital for Women and Children and the Royal Eye Hospital.
