Smoking can cause a range of health problems, including cancer, heart and lung disease. In Greater Manchester, 14 people every day die of a smoking related disease.

The earlier you start smoking, due to the addictive nature of nicotine, the more likely you are to become a heavy smoker and therefore have a greater risk of suffering from one of the many diseases caused by smoking. Around half of today's young smokers will die early from smoking related diseases.
